Overview:

Maintain policies, procedures, measurement, testing, corrective actions, and internal audits, etc. The quality assurance manager will facilitate ISO 9001:2000 & ISO/TS 16949:2009 in house standards, written procedures, and maintain and measure the effectiveness of this quality system insuring ongoing site compliance to the above standards.

Responsibilities:

• Insures compliance to quality objectives and the effectiveness of Corrective actions.
• Coordinates the fulfillment of inspection procedures (raw material and/or processes and final product) to insure quality requirements.
• Develops and analyzes process performance by comparing statistical data and acceptance criteria seeking more efficient costs and cycle times, guaranteeing product quality and reliability.
• Aware of new developments in techniques, systems, test equipment and quality criteria, adapting them to the organization and supervising their implementation.
• Participate in the planning, development and transfer of new products or changes in parts, materials or processes.
• Coordinates the management of quality systems and applicable certification systems (ISO, TS, etc.) including the development, maintenance and updating of documentation, processes and records.
• Supervises the calibration system for test and measurement equipment and calibrates all production equipment with updated calibration sticker.
• Represent the company before certification agencies.
• Directly manage failure analysis, complaints and information requests from customers.
• Act as a facilitator to the management team regarding continuous improvement programs, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Etc.
• Develops, implements and maintains--in coordination with other areas. (i.e. Purchasing and Materials, Engineering, etc.-- supplier quality programs
• Prepares and manages the objectives and budgets of the department, as well as validates and authorizes standard operating procedures (SOP).

Responsible for the selection, training, motivating and developing of the quality department’s staff and managing team performance. Also responsible for promoting and maintaining interdepartmental cooperation.

Well credentialed applicants will have the following qualifications:

• BS in technical discipline (IE, EE, ME etc) or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience in electronic components preferred
• Certification experience ISO, TS qualifications
• 5 plus years experience in Quality Assurance preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various quality Methods. (ISO, APQP, etc)
• Knowledge of QA inspection techniques.
• Hands on management of staff
• Technical expertise of design & product changes
• Experience working with customers and vendors
• Excellent communications skills verbal and written.
• Experience with software MiniTab preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc…)
